AP Psychology exam format

For the May 2027 AP Psychology exam, Section I has 75 multiple-choice questions and counts for 66.7% of the exam score. Section II has two free-response questions worth 33.3% in total: the Article Analysis Question (AAQ) and the Evidence-Based Question (EBQ), each worth up to 7 points and weighted equally.

The exam is fully digital in Bluebook. This calculator uses the current College Board section weights for practice scoring.

How the AP Psychology grade calculator works

The calculator converts each raw section result into a percentage, then applies the current exam weights:

Composite = (MCQ % × 0.667) + (AAQ % × 0.1665) + (EBQ % × 0.1665)

For practice scoring, the AAQ and EBQ are each treated as 7 possible rubric points.

Does the calculator predict an AP score from 1 to 5?

Not as an official result. College Board converts combined exam performance into the AP 1–5 scale through score-setting processes, and there is not one permanent public percentage cutoff that applies every year. For that reason, this page reports a weighted composite percentage rather than presenting an unofficial cutoff as guaranteed.
