Common letter grade scale
The plus/minus option uses this common reference scale:

| 73–76.99% | C | 2.0 |
| 70–72.99% | C− | 1.7 |
| 67–69.99% | D+ | 1.3 |
| 63–66.99% | D | 1.0 |
| 60–62.99% | D− | 0.7 |
| Below 60% | F | 0.0 |
This is a reference scale, not a universal standard. Your institution may use different cutoffs or grade-point values.
Percentage grade, letter grade and GPA
A percentage grade shows your score out of 100. A letter grade groups that percentage into a category such as A, B or C. GPA is different: it combines grade points from multiple courses and may weight them by credit hours.
